ABA is most commonly used to support autistic individuals but it can be used for anyone with developmental needs or anyone who needs help learning new behaviours, routines or coping strategies.
No - ABA can be helpful at any age. We support toddlers through to young adults, adjusting our approach to match their developmental level.
Not at Blossoming Futures. We focus on positive reinforcement - rewarding behaviours we want to encourage and building skills in a way that feels safe and motivating for each child.
Not at all! ABA supports your child in becoming more confident and independent while celebrating who they are. Our work is respectful, individualised and child-led.
No formal diagnosis is required to start ABA therapy with Blossoming Futures. If you are concerned with your child's development or would like to support specific skills, we always start with an initial consultation and assessment to determine how ABA could help.
ABA is highly personalised. We start with an assessment of behaviour and skills to determine which areas to focus on and determine a plan adapted to suit your child's age, strengths and goals.
Very involved! We provide regular updates and workshops, we offer parent training and work in partnership with you every step of the way.
We are currently able to provide ABA in homes, schools and community settings where appropriate.
Sessions are tailored to your child's learning abilities and requirements. This may involve a mixture of play or activity based teaching along with more structured adult-led table-top learning. Depending on your child's goals, a session may involve practising communication, self-help tasks, play skills or problem-solving - all in a supportive and engaging way.
We support all levels of need. Whether your child communicates using speech, signs, AAC, or needs full support with daily living - we tailor therapy to their strengths and needs.
Reach out via our contact form or email us directly. We offer a free telephone consultation to learn about your child and see how we can help.
Some families are able to gain funding through an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan), personal budgets or pay privately. We are happy to help you explore your options.
This depends on your child's needs and goals. Some programmes are a few hours a week, others are more intensive. We will work with you to find the right balance.
ABA can be delivered during or outside of lessons, depending on the child’s EHCP and goals. We collaborate with school staff to support inclusion and learning.
